Mother Teresa ....inspiration...

You know.... I had to take down the title "Mother Teresa & Marie Antoinette"... I had it up for awhile but everytime I came back to my blog... It just didn't seem right. To have those 2 names together just didn't seem fair or give Mother Teresa the respect she deserves... not to say anything horrible about Marie Antoinette.... I think she herself would understand... and have a little laugh.... it's all good. ; )

While looking for a white linen apron for ideas to hang on my "Marie Antoinette" hook... I came across this lovely little blog ~"Berlins Whimsy" with this wonderful quote. I Love it. Pass it along....

It made me think of Mother Teresa of Calcutta. Beautiful. What a life. I can not begin to describe her.

Isn't it funny how "listing something on Etsy... turned out to be me blogging about Mother Teresa. that's part of my problem I guess,.... you think? O well.... Its a good path, a positive one. I'll get there one day. Hopefully smarter & more Positive for the best.

Wish Fairy collage hook

This sweet little fairy needs a home. She has been sitting around here just waiting for the right day to be photographed. She can't wait for that day... she just needs to find her special friend.

I had a ceramic & metal hook that I found and I needed to play around with it & I decided to make a collage. I used a vintage image of an adorable little girl. She was turned into a charming WISH fairy with a party hat, wings & make believe wand. I used sheet music & papers & painted the wings, party hat & her tights... All colleagued on this piece with layers of varnish for protection. Glass glitter adorns the edges for sparkle. Sweet green, white & gold stripes make it whimsical & fun for little one. Pink, preppy green & sweet as can be touches is perfect for that special little place to hang favorite sweater, nightie or something special.... even Big fluffy Pink towel in her bathroom. Ideas are endless and this was such fun to create knowing no one else will have anything like it. Simply one of a kind made with love. Its great to be a girl.
