Inspired by Turquoise......

Love it.
Little girl
to
big girl...
so many
sweet
ideas.

Have you ever
thought about doing
your own
 headboard like this?

Try it.

plywood, foam or whatever stuffing, however big & puffy....

big buttons, fabric, fishing line/heavy duty thread.

It doesn't have to
be
 just like this ~
but
it is an idea.

This chandelier
 is
 a bit pricey from
Maison Luxe,
However,
 I Love it.
If you can afford it Great!

How about for your child's room?

Definitely a Show piece.

You
 need a large room.

Turquoise
 is a fabulous color
 for
 nursery, teens & even parents.

How about trying to create one
yourself.

On a smaller scale
&
with turquoise stones from the craft shops or online
(Etsy?)

You get the idea....
Make
 one similar
or
completely diff.
 but use stones/beads
whatever....

........................            African turquoise * turquoise round * Oval *round

 &
so many more from there....
get creative!

.I Love
all white & old iron.
Pale aqua or blue
little pillows
 would be
sweet.
or
soft silk ribbons
 &
a few bouquets
 tucked around would be
 precious.

.Adding color with fun
artwork
from your local artists
is
wonderful.
Or
 find new artists
on
Etsy
as I did with Kat Hannah.

You can have a beautiful room
 &
 maybe all white.
Adding some unexpected
 art
like this
completes the look
&
makes it more welcoming
&
not so fussy.

*maybe these two are not what you want for little ones,
I happen to like the colors.
but you get the idea.
It is fun to find
new
art.

Do not think
 you
 have to have the artwork
 in those stores
for
baby & child
that might "match" your bedding,
 get
 creative.
*Be original in your designs/style.
AND
 If you do use
ARTWORK
 in those stores.
be sure to use OTHER things
 to
 add YOUR individual style
 to your room.
 Stand out
&
 be unique & charming.
Those
boutique pieces
you find in a million stores
 are to be used
 WITH
other items to blend in and work together
but
 not alone
SAME SAME SETS alone.
You know...
Work with it all.
FIND your unique style
with
Your pieces.
Those "store bought" things
 are
to help
 you.

Get Creative.

This is one of my favorite rooms and the picture that started my
 "Aqua themed"
color style
post.I Love those bolster pillows!
 (the color & fabric!!!)
the chairs on the end are
 darling.

Notice the plates on the wall.

*Add a fluffy teddy bear or bunny with your own silk ribbons and bouquets to add little girl charm & place on the beds.

Trust me,
rooms can look
beautiful & classy
yet
still be
sweet
for
baby & little girls.
(baskets, painted pails or creative toy boxes filled with toys & lots of books)
I have about 20 large bins to be painted
into some charming
little
pieces
to store  toys & books
etc...
&
a pretty little
place
for little ones to
put their own little mess away.
(design ideas anyone? colors?
DREAM away)

One of my favorites.
I LOVE this little jacket.
These outfits are adorable.
Precious.
.Sarah Ross of Coral Camellia & her Nordic Coat in Woodfern.

Grand Game from Anthropologie.

Wallpaper is another great idea.
 If you can't "wallpaper"
you
can use it other ways.

Paper inside a cupboard.
Leave doors open
or
replace with glass.

Frame wallpaper.

Large frames, or several hung on wall.

How about as a backdrop over a large piece plywood & frame with moldings.
(great when you can't paint or wallpaper if you rent)

Wallpaper one wall with expensive wallpaper.
 Or
 paper a narrow divider wall.

(Or use expensive wallpaper
on only the bottom helf of the wall
&
 add a decorative chair rail
or a neat & fun molding
you
created.
Get creative!)

Get creative with your choices out there.

Love this chest
from
I Love that store.
 So many fabulous pieces.

Wonderful displays of inspiration too.
LOVE IT!!!!

This room is sooo Vogue.
(notice the touches of red,
I myself would still want an old antique brass/gold & crystal chandelier,
but
the Punch of color is great.
again,
those turquoise stones
&
MAKE
your own chandelier/light fixture)

I Love it but so much more my teen daughters style.

I Love those Bolster pillow's once again.

Get creative with paint.

Headboards.
GET Creative!

These Old French doors are amazing.
Used
as
 headboard.
(Ditton Hill)
Find your own creative
&
original
headboard...

ARTWORK
Did you ever think about using pictures
 for
your teens rooms
 from
magazines like
Vogue?
Cheap black frames, with mattes or without.

Or
in ornate Gold frames
or
whatever
you
like.

Just more ideas....
get creative.

Love these looks @ Domino Magazine.

Decorative touches add so much to a room.

(sorry, forget where I found this. Please let me know if you do,
hate to leave this one out, so simple, clean & fresh)

.Art & Ghost (always Unique artwork with Fabulous Colors)

 The Bella Cottage

You
 can always find something fabulous
to
decorate
with
One of
my most favorite
 Boutiques
with
tons of
French designs.

Hey Linda! I LOVE that chandelier too.
I got carried away looking at all the beads on ETSY.
I'm thinking about creating some lighting using beads & Found objects. (recycled can be Posh!)

The ideas are making me spin!
Enjoy your weekend!
